Advanced Dance 

Instructor: Tracy Shen 

Grades: 9-12

Fall Semester: June 10th to June 28th,  2024 

Days & Times: Daily, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Advanced Dance is a three-week course. Previous dance training and experience are necessary. This course requires a high level of technique and includes different dance styles such as ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop. Dance is for enrichment only, and will not offer academic credit. The course will conclude with an informal showcase on the last day of class.

Cheer: JV/Varsity

Fall/Spring Semester: June 10th to July 19th, 2024

Days & Times: Monday & Wednesday 6:00 pm-7:30 pm

Summer Camp for 2024-2025 San Marino High School Cheer students only.  Conditioning, stunting and learning cheers will be conducted during camp. Schedule subject to change.

Cross Country 

Instructor: Leamon Stansell 

Grades: 6-12

Fall and Spring Semesters: June 10th to July 19th, 2024

Days & Times: Daily, 6:30 am -7:45 am

Learn the fundamentals of cross country running. In this class you will enhance muscle strength and aerobic endurance by road running, track workouts, weight training, and mobility work. Have fun and get into shape! This is a program for students of all levels, as they will be running from 10 to 45 miles per week. Students that are looking to participate in cross country during the school year are highly recommended to participate in this program, as it has been proven that members who are used to the training by summer will perform better during competitions in the fall.

Football for Returning Players: Strength and Conditioning and Practice 

Instructor: Nate Turner-Named Head Coach for Two All-Star Teams-1)U.S. Army Regional All Star Game, 2) North vs. South Southern California All Star Game, Former NFL Player with the Los Angeles Chargers

Grades: 10-12

Fall and Spring Semesters: June 10th to July 19th, 2024

Strength and Conditioning: Monday and Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm 

Practice: Monday through Thursday from 4:05 pm to 6:30 pm

This course provides instruction, training, and practice in the advanced techniques of football. All students will engage in an off-season program emphasizing instruction, skill development, strength training, and conditioning.

*Friday Practices: TBD based on possible 7 on 7 tournaments

**Saturday Tournaments: TBD

Students enrolled in this section are required to attend both the Strength and Conditioning and Practice sessions. Schedules subject to change.

Football for Rising 8th Graders & Freshmen: Non-Contact Football, Strength, Conditioning and Practice

Grades: 8-9

Fall and Spring Semesters: June 10th to  July 19th, 2024

Strength and Conditioning: Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm

Practice: Monday through Thursday from 4:05 pm to 6:30 pm

Students enrolled in this section will participate in a comprehensive 6 week strength and conditioning program intended to teach the fundamentals and techniques involved in strength training. The program will offer students a foundation for success as they prepare themselves for high school athletics in the upcoming years. Students enrolled in this section are required to attend both the Strength and Conditioning and Practice sessions. Schedules subject to change.

An all skill level course in place to help develop and/or maintain our athletes soccer skills through the summer/off season. Throughout the course we’ll be able to incorporate mini games, scrimmages, and conditioning to get our athletes familiar with how the program works during the fall season. Our SMHS Soccer  summer course’s overall goal will be to help prepare those interested in trying out and playing in the upcoming fall 2024/2025 Girls Soccer  season. 

Fee: $225

Tennis

Fall and Spring Semesters: June 10th to July 19th, 2024

Monday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

This class will be for Intermediate through Advanced Level, please NO BEGINNERS. If you can serve 8 consecutive serves, keep score and keep a rally of 10 consecutive hits over the net you are considered an Intermediate level player. Advanced level players will be separated into different groups. They work on match play, drills preparing them for matchplay, working on accuracy and strategy. Footwork is emphasized with utmost importance. In addition, we will be working on doubles play and volleys.

Water Polo

Grades: Rising 6-8: 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm / Grades: Rising 9-12: 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Calling everyone that loves to swim! Student-athletes enrolled in this class will have the opportunity to learn, exercise and develop their water polo skills.  The class is directed by certified USA Water Polo Coach Robert Zirovich and his staff.  Returning athletes will have fun mastering shooting, passing and wrestling skills while developing their strategic quick thinking skills. Novice participants will learn the fundamentals, rules of the game, and develop their ball-handling and swimming skills. All participants must be able to swim.  Competitive club swimmers and water polo players are encouraged to attend.
