Participation in sports is intended solely for enrichment purposes. Official academic credit will not be awarded for participation in athletics unless otherwise specified.
To participate in our athletic courses on the first day, you must present an Athletic Clearance Form signed by your physician to your coach; failure to do so will result in your inability to participate. For your convenience, a link to the Athletic Clearance Form is here. If you possess an existing Athletic Clearance Form that has not expired within the past year, it will be accepted. Physical_Forms

Any parent/student who registers during a time where they are not allowed to will be withdrawn from the class and refunded their registration cost minus a $75.00 false registration fee. They will then need to re-register at full cost on the appropriate day. Full refunds will be granted up to May 16th @ midnight. No refunds will be issued after May 16th @ midnight.
Advanced Dance

Advanced Dance is a three-week course. Previous dance training and experience are necessary. This course requires a high level of technique and includes different dance styles such as ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop. Dance is for enrichment only, and will not offer academic credit. The course will conclude with an informal showcase on the last day of class on Friday, June 27th. Incoming eighth grade students are welcome to take the course. (No Athletic Clearance required)

Cross Country

Learn the fundamentals of cross country running. In this class you will enhance muscle strength and aerobic endurance by road running, track workouts, weight training, and mobility work. Have fun and get into shape! This is a program for students of all levels, as they will be running from 10 to 45 miles per week. Students that are looking to participate in cross country during the school year are highly recommended to participate in this program, as it has been proven that members who are used to the training by summer will perform better during competitions in the fall. The class is for Cross Country Base Training to build the foundation needed for the regular season in the fall.
Prerequisites: Must be able to run 2 and a half miles minimum to join the class

This class will be for Intermediate through Advanced Level, please NO BEGINNERS. If you can serve 8 consecutive serves, keep score and keep a rally of 10 consecutive hits over the net you are considered an Intermediate level player. Advanced level players will be separated into different groups. They work on match play, drills preparing them for matchplay, working on accuracy and strategy. Footwork is emphasized with utmost importance. In addition, we will be working on doubles play and volleys.

Throughout the course we’ll be able to incorporate mini games, scrimmages, and conditioning to get our athletes familiar with how the program works during the fall season. Calling everyone that loves to swim! Student-athletes enrolled in this class will have the opportunity to learn, exercise and develop their water polo skills. The class is directed by certified USA Water Polo Coach Robert Zirovich and his staff. Returning athletes will have fun mastering shooting, passing and wrestling skills while developing their strategic quick thinking skills. Novice participants will learn the fundamentals, rules of the game, and develop their ball-handling and swimming skills. All participants must be able to swim. Competitive club swimmers and water polo players are encouraged to attend.

Flag football is a non-contact variation of American football in which players wear flags on their hips, and the defensive team ends a down by removing these flags. Participants will receive comprehensive instruction on the fundamentals of flag football, covering essential skills such as defensive techniques for flag pulling and offensive techniques for catching and throwing. Additionally, training will encompass route running, as well as enhancing speed and agility.

This comprehensive badminton summer program is designed to develop and refine the skills of players of all levels, from beginners to those preparing for high school team tryouts. Participants will receive expert coaching in all aspects of the game, including:
- Fundamental Skills: Proper grip, serving techniques (high, low, flick), clear shots, drop shots, smash, net play, and drive shots.
- Footwork and Movement: Efficient court coverage, agility drills, and badminton-specific footwork patterns.
- Strategy and Tactics: Singles and doubles strategy, shot selection, positioning, and game analysis.
- Conditioning: Badminton-specific exercises to improve stamina, speed, and agility.
- Match Play: Opportunities to practice skills in simulated game situations and scrimmages.
- Observation Opportunities: Get the chance to watch and learn skills from current high school varsity players.
This program is highly recommended for students planning to try out for the high school badminton team, as it will provide a significant advantage in skill development and conditioning.

Girls Basketball

This course is designed for players of all skill levels, providing a fun, inclusive environment that fosters self-confidence, sportsmanship, and teamwork through fundamental skill development. Participants will engage in daily instruction focusing on essential basketball techniques, including: Fundamentals: Footwork and balance, dribbling, passing, shooting, and understanding game rules. Athletic Skill Training: Running, jumping, change of direction, flexibility, and agility. Offensive Strategies: L-cuts, V-cuts, J-cuts, setting screens, and motion offense. Defensive Techniques: Man-to-man defense, close-out, and blocking out. Students will apply these skills through fundamental drills, exercises, and game-like scenarios. Skill assessments will occur through daily observation and weekly scrimmages.
Coach Mosely (Coach Mo) is the current Head Coach of the Huntington Middle School Girls Basketball team and an Assistant Coach for the St. Francis Freshman Basketball team. Coach Mo has 40 years of coaching experience which includes positions as a High School Varsity Head Coach and AAU/Club National Head Coach. He has played a pivotal role in the development of numerous athletes, most notably, Ziaire Williams, a former Stanford University player and current member of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets.
