Dr. Hill's Message

Welcome to the 2026 San Marino Summer Academy for students in Grades 8–12! I am excited to greet you as this year’s Summer Academy principal. Last summer marked the beginning of my role as Assistant Principal at San Marino High School, and I am grateful to be joining the Summer Academy program. Although this is my first year with San Marino Summer Academy, I bring 18 years of experience in education and a deep commitment to supporting students in meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

Summer Academy offers students a valuable chance to continue their academic journey in a focused and supportive environment. Whether enrolling in enrichment courses or completing classes for high school credit, students benefit from thoughtfully designed instruction delivered by talented educators who are dedicated to upholding San Marino’s tradition of excellence. Our goal is to create a summer experience that is rigorous, rewarding, and welcoming for every learner.

To ensure equitable access to courses, registration will open with a staggered schedule during the first week. Families are asked to register only during their designated window, as early registration will result in a $75 non-refundable fee. This structure helps ensure that rising 8th graders have meaningful opportunities to participate on the high school campus and that graduating seniors can secure any courses needed to meet graduation requirements. We appreciate your partnership in helping us implement this process smoothly.

I am truly looking forward to a summer of growth, connection, and accomplishment. It is an honor to serve this community, and I am eager to work alongside our students, families, and staff to make this a positive and memorable Summer Academy experience.
